Schedule: 12:30-1:00pm Join us early to get a fit check in your carrier! Sarah will be offering help. If you would like to borrow a carrier for the hike, please message Joyful Baby Co. the day before.
1:00pm Hike begins with a sharing circle
~2:30pm Hike ends with snack and hang-out time.
Description:
Have you been wanting to go hiking with your baby and haven't been able to make it happen? Come find your feet at our monthly babywearing hike! All levels of hikers welcome, but this will be adult paced. As always this group invites caretakers of all types to join in (moms, dads, grandmas, nannies, etc.).
Get outside, make a new friend, and feel confident using our carrier!
Please note these are carrier only, adult paced hikes! This is not a stroller-friendly activity. If you need help with your carrier, or would like to borrow one, I'm happy to help.
What to bring:
-$5 if your vehicle is NOT registered in Boulder County.
-a soft structured carrier (or framed hiking carrier) that holds your baby securely and hands free (bring what works for you). If you have a toddler who does well in a hiking carrier, that's great too!
-water, snacks, and milk or formula for your baby
-comfortable shoes or hiking boots (microspikes/traction for your boots recommended)
- sun protection (hats, sunscreen, etc.)
- weather specific clothing (dress you and baby in layers!)
- trekking poles (optional)

Route Title: Homestead and Mesa Trail Loop
Difficulty: easy-moderate
Distance: 3 miles (loop)
Description: This is a fairly sunny trail (Mesa). Dogs are not allowed on Towhee, but we will plan to take Homestead up and Mesa back down (counter-clockwise).
*There is a $5 (cash) fee to park at this trailhead if your vehicle does not have Boulder County plates. There are pit toilets at the parking lot*
