THIS IS A FOUR-CLASS SERIES THAT BEGINS ON APRIL21. (Dates: April 21, 23, 28, 30) Classes are 6pm-9pm. You must pre-register for class by contacting Detective Bureau Secretary Madison Ryman at 574-891-2341 or by email [email protected].
The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office is hosting a FREE self-defense class for women ages 12+ to 99+. The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office teaches the RAD System (Rape Aggression Defense), which is an internationally recognized program that teaches women self-defense safety, along with basic physical techniques to defend against abduction and/or assault.
RAD teaches techniques that require an escape/survival mindset over physical strength or conditioning. Techniques are designed so that women of any size, age, or fitness level can use them effectively. The techniques are meant to create an opportunity to escape, not to dominate or "win a fight".
