April 2024 Conejo Valley Youth Mic Night!

There are so many young artists who have raw and authentic talent. Most of them never have the opportunities to express themselves. From personal experience it can be so intimidating to jump into your first performance, especially when most of the other performers have more exposure and are much older than you. This often discourages many from ever conveying their art. Youth Open Mic, however, encourages youth artists to perform while also feeling safe and comfortable. They are free with their art, and don’t feel intimidated, but inspired by their peers and supported by their community.

My vision for Youth Open Mic is to include every middle school and high school throughout Conejo Valley and beyond to be represented at every event. Performers in grades 6th through 12th will know they are welcome. In addition, the courage of performers will be incentivized with a gift card.

P ERFORMERS are FREE! Each attendee is $5 each.

• Only 12 youth performers will perform 2 songs each.
• We will be giving preference to NEW youth performers (who haven't participated at prior events) who register NO LATER THAN APRIL 6th.
• Veteran performers can register, but performance isn't confirmed until After April 6th. Gaby will email performers the final performance list.
• At least ONE adult is required to attend with performer.
• Please confirm registration questions completely to be considered on the performance list.
• Performers must check in for sound check at 4:30pm. One parent can join.
• We will start seating for audience members at 5:30pm.
