Emma Stack will be doing a reading from her newest book MERCY. In person only. She will be back for a Hybrid event September 8, 2025. Bring a lunch time snack - we have the hot drink and cookies.

Mercy is Emma's fourth novel and the third book in her War of 1812 series. She will discuss her writing and answer any questions about her other titles.

For Emma, writing allows her to blend historical accuracy with her creativity and imagination. Canadian history has always been her constant source of inspiration, with its enthralling and exciting history just waiting to make it into the genre of historical romance.


Emma graduated with an Honours Degree in History and Philosophy. She went on to obtain and Bachelor of Education Degree and an Early Childhood Education Diploma. Emma has taught history at the high school level. Also, she has written and published four novels, set during the War of 1812.

Emma is an 1812 reenactor and the Historical Interpreter for the Royal Scots Regiment. Emma likes to make Canadian history fun for anyone who will listen to her!
