Come explore the world of science, technology, engineering, and math at the Apricot STEM Fair. This family-friendly event offers hands-on STEM activities that highlight the journey of humans—and apricots—to the Santa Clara Valley, and their future travels. The event will be held in the Museum’s courtyard on June 29 from 10am - 3pm.
Activities at the fair include egg-drop experiments, rocket launches, robot operations, Mars colonization simulations, boat building, sun-drying apricots, and apricot-themed games. Attendees can pedal a bicycle-powered blender courtesy of GreenTown Los Altos, unleash their creativity with craft fun provided by Los Altos Library, and learn how seeds travel with an educational activity from Living Classroom. Volunteers will offer walking tours of the Los Altos Heritage Orchard, highlighting native plants and insects. Special guest Lisa Prince Newman will be available to sign copies of her book, “‘or the Love of Apricots.”
The Apricot STEM Fair is sponsored by The Anne Wojcicki Foundation.
Admission is $10, free for children age 12 and under and Museum members. Enjoy gourmet apricot-themed Mexican food and beverages from Tal Palo available for purchase. For more information, visit losaltoshistory.org/ApricotSTEM2025.
