Applique Apron Workshop

Come and join local artist, Wendy for the day and learn how to design and create your own Appliqué Apron with unique feature pocket.

You can choose a character, decorative pattern or a more pictorial design to decorate your apron. The main feature of your design will form your apron pocket. Wendy will guide you through designing and making your pattern, fabric choices and construction techniques. We will provide the sewing machines, basic plain apron, an eclectic range of fabrics and a basic set of coloured threads for you to use throughout the day. However, you will probably find that you wish to bring some of your own fabric to ensure you get the colours and patterns that suit you better. Don’t worry if you haven’t used a sewing machine before, Wendy will support you throughout the day with all materials and equipment.

Wendy has worked as an Art & Design teacher for many years both here in Yorkshire and in Beijing. She provides a relaxed and inspirational atmosphere to all her workshops and loves to patiently guide all participants to develop their own style and creativity.

You will finish the day relaxed, with a smile on your face and a great sense of pride in what you have achieved! The workshop includes all the equipment you need. Just bring along some inspirational imagery for your apron design. No previous experience required.
