Sunday 28th September 2025 | 12.00am - 4.00pm Free entry. Join us for our Apple Day-Harvest Festival on Sunday September 28th from 12 -4pm in this our 30th year anniversary. We will be back with all the seasonal sights and smells that make up our famous and free event. There will be talks and tours from the apple experts like our v own Phil Wheal. We are delighted also to be joined by grape expert Andrew Watson, for a workshop in the tunnels. Botanist Maria Cullen will talk about the threat to apple trees from fireblight, wonderful farming for nature ambassador Tommy Early from Mount Allen, will chat about one of his inspirational projects.
Step back in time with our craft demos, basket weaving and hand spinning, alongside our centre piece of apple pressing. Meet our visiting alpacas as we are thrilled to be joined again by them.
Browse our teeming array of local stalls* of sustainable crafts and food indoors and outdoors around the building. There will be plenty for the family to enjoy including heritage games from 'Heritage Crafts Alive' and Fiona and Catherine from Green Shoots joined by the wonderful Seb will be hosting a childrens arts and crafts section.
The Grass Roof cafe will be open on the day, which will include some apple delights on the menu, so why not treat yourself on your day out!
