Prepare to laugh, gasp and marvel as storyteller Johnny Thomas Fowler takes you on a captivating journey through outrageous tall tales, Appalachian folk stories and heartfelt personal narratives—all delivered with delightful storytelling flair. Expect jaw-dropping exaggerations, clever turns of phrase and a generous helping of humor in every tale. Adding to the experience, Johnny weaves in lively music on the banjo, harmonica, bones and guitar, paired with fascinating historical notes that celebrate heritage and culture.
This program is part of the 2025 Storytelling Festival and is supported by a Grant from the Arts Council of Fayetteville|Cumberland County, the North Carolina Arts Council and, in part, by contributions from the City of Fayetteville, Cumberland County and other community partners.
