A weekend of movement, ritual theatre, & imaginal practice to reveal the power hidden in our shadows.
About this Event

The word apocalypse comes from the Greek apokálpysi, meaning "to remove the covering"--that is, to reveal. An apocalypse--which we often experience as a trauma, tragedy, horrendous downfall, or egregious global atrocity--is also an opening to see a deeper truth. In the breakdown, more light can shine through. This process of coming to consciousness, historically and psychologically, is the experience of apocalypse.

In this workshop we will explore our apocalypses--both individual & collective--by moving with our resistance & surrender to life. We will use 5Rhythms® dance, guided imagery practices, ritual theater, & consciousness-building games.

As expressed in the Alchemical adage "as above, so below; as within, so without," the events on the world stage are not exclusively out there, but reflective of a deep psychological reality, one which we each have the privilege of coming to consciousness of in this lifetime.

By trade, Mackenzie Amara is a Jungian analyst, lecturer, and 5Rhythms® teacher. By vocation, she is a psychedelic facilitator, depth psychology scholar, and writer. By design, she is a collection of fractal, holographic cells dancing around some strange attractor for the sake of who knows what to live an insignificant, mythic life reflective of the mysterious vital spark within her. She identifies as a series of memories and unverifiable subjective experiences of self-hood to which she is rather fondly attached. She really, really loves butter. Mackenzie has previously brought APOCALYPSE to New York and Prague. Learn more about Mackenzie: http://www.mackenzieamara.com
