This year's event is focused on CONNECTION with all aspects of LGBTQIA+ community needs, from well-being to policy makers and business/service providers allowing them to hear where our needs lie. Recent feedback from the community was the request for an event with more time to chat and connect, less about the food and meals. The LGBTQIA+ community stakeholders, creatives, and business will be the focus with the ability for those in the broader community to come and see their wares and support local LGBTQIA+ community sellers. The Eastwood Leisure complex has many spaces available and we will be making full use of the facilities to host this event:
MCed by Gabriella Labucci with performances by Rhiannon Simpson (solo), Confetti Western and Akasha Temple + choir throughout the day
The event will feature:
Large Exhibition Space for up to 80 stall holders.
Smaller exhibition space for the LGBTQIA+ community members to bring their wares to sell. We are open to most items being sold, and would like to create space for community creatives to share their wares.
The main hall will host the Trans and Gender Diverse Clothes Swap Shop - the benefactors of our fund-raising this year.
Community information tables (free) will be available in the Main Hall too.
Panels with Q&A sessions on different topics will run throughout the day.
Activities such as Zine making and plaster painting will also be available.
Keeping true to our roots, food trucks and coffee vans will be on-site for all your food needs with a place for people to sit and eat indoors.
"Arcade Alley" a games space featuring 'try your luck' games and Board games alongside a "Community Connection space" - long tables for people to come and eat and connect!
