OUR VISION
The Regina APA Symposium is supported by a team of nine local organizations and businesses, showing its goal of encouraging teamwork, communication, and understanding through inclusive activity.
The APA Symposium 2025 team endeavours to create stronger, more inclusive communities through the promotion of healthy living. Improving access to, and opportunities for adapted activites pertaining to sport, recreation, and leisure.

Speaker - Dr. Cameron Mang
Info: Title - Community driving research and impact in adaptive exercise and neurorehabilitation. Cameron Mang teaches and conducts research focused on motor skill training, exercise programming, and neurorehabilitation. His research is split between basic science studies designed to improve understanding of how the central nervous system controls human movement, and clinical studies examining how the neural control of movement is disrupted and rehabilitated for people living with chronic neurological conditions. Collaborating with First Steps Wellness Centre to share knowledge across science and real-world practice is a major highlight of his work.

Being a professional bodybuilder, rocks climbs with his chair or showcases his strength in Calisthenics. A daredevil who redefines how people view those who require a wheelchair while also inspiring others to push themselves as well.

Speaker - Jonathan Marriott
Info: Title - Initiatives that enhance accessibility in both natural and built environments. Jonathan is the Director of Partnerships at AccessNow, leading initiatives that enhance accessibility in both natural and built environments. His work spans accessible transportation, inclusive infrastructure, and the development of accessibility standards and guidelines, ensuring that accessibility is embedded into policies, spaces, and experiences. Jonathan takes a holistic, community-driven approach, working alongside organizations to create meaningful and lasting change.
Beyond his professional role, Jonathan is a dedicated community leader and advocate. He serves as Vice Chair of the Accessible Travel Journey Standards Committee for Accessibility Standards Canada, is a member of the Metrolinx Accessibility Advisory Committee, and previously chaired the Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit for the Toronto Transit Commission.
