About this Event

The Faculty of Education and Social Work is hosting a special ANZAC Commemoration Service to remember soldiers and teachers who lost their lives during the battle of Gallipoli and at other battles throughout World War 1. We especially remember Herbert Milnes who was appointed in 1905 as the first Principal of the Auckland Teachers College, (now the Faculty of Education) and who died at Passchendaele, Belgium on 4 October 1917.

We invite returned services personnel and their descendants to participate by wearing medals on the right upper portion of your apparel. E kore rā e warewaretia – They will not be forgotten.
