ANZAC Field of Remembrance 2023

This solemn and touching event is held where the tradition began 71 years ago, at St Andrew’s Cathedral, Sydney.

In a moving ceremony, widows, families, and distinguished guests plant a cross, lay a wreath or place a rose for those who have served and sacrificed so much.

This poignant service continues to give the widows of war and their families the opportunity to pay personal tribute to their loved ones and continue history and the legacy set back in 1952. It also demonstrates the losses and sacrifices of war widows and families who bare an enormous burden for our nation and their lifelong role supporting veterans who have fallen, been wounded, injured or with illness.

We encourage all AWWNSW members, volunteer and members of the veteran’s community to be involved in the 2023 ANZAC Field of Remembrance.
