About this Event

“Because awareness is as present in our lives as the air we breathe, we can access it anywhere, anytime.” —Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche

Do you feel like you’re too busy to meditate?

Most of us imagine meditation requires a quiet room, a special cushion, and a mind that is already calm. But what if meditation didn't require any of that? What if you could meditate while drinking your morning coffee, sitting in Portland traffic, or navigating a stressful meeting?

Join best-selling author, TED speaker, and meditation teacher Mingyur Rinpoche for a transformative two-day workshop in Portland at Lewis & Clark College. Rinpoche is known for his ability to make profound ancient practices incredibly simple and relevant to modern life. Having used these exact techniques to move through his own childhood struggle with panic attacks, he teaches from a place of deep personal experience and warmth.

In this workshop, you will learn the "Anytime Anywhere" approach: a way to tap into your natural awareness and find a sense of peace that doesn't depend on your external circumstances.

Why should I attend?

This isn't your typical "sit still and be quiet" retreat. This workshop is designed for real life.

  • Break the Barriers: Learn why you don’t need to "stop your thoughts" to meditate successfully.
  • Fits Your Schedule: Discover how "short times, many times" is more effective than hour-long sessions you can't find time for.
  • Science & Wisdom: Mingyur Rinpoche’s teachings are unique because they bridge the gap between 2,500 years of tradition and modern neuroscience.
  • Direct Access: Study in-person with a master who has spent thousands of hours in formal meditation and has helped hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.

What will I learn?

In this program, you will learn:

  • the essence of meditation from Mingyur Rinpoche
  • how to be present without worrying about the past or future
  • to accept yourself and others with kindness
  • to develop wisdom by being curious as to how things truly are

What is included in this program?
  • Live teachings and Q&A with Mingyur Rinpoche
  • Practice session and Q&A with Tergar guides
  • Gentle movement practices with Tergar guides
