With vivid storytelling, vibrant musicianship and arresting honesty, Anya Hinkle explores the beauty of song craft through the lens of Appalachian acoustic music.Originally from the mountains of Virginia, Anya’s music is steeped in the tones of folk and bluegrass and seasoned by travels across the world. Joined by Billy Cardine, a genre-blurring composer, slide guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist on Dobro, the duo delivers an energetic array of Anya's award-winning tunes along with several songs set to appear on her current recording, and some traditional favorites all designed to offer a crowd-pleasing evening of music in The Back Room.
Sweet Sally is Lucy Khadder (15) and Sophia Sparks (14). They have been performing together for nearly four years both as a duo and with their band, Birches Bend. Their impeccable musicianship and vocal harmonies as well as intelligent songwriting are far beyond their years as they share choice covers, fiddle tunes, and originals.
Tickets are $20 general admission. Children under 12 are free. Advance tickets are available at the link below, or you may purchase your tickets at the door the night of the show.
Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash or Venmo only at the door.
The Back Room is an all-ages, BYOB (for those 21+) space, dedicated to (mostly) acoustic music of all kinds. You are welcome to bring your own food and adult beverages with no additional corkage fee.
