Anxiety workshop

This two session workshop is for parents and carers of children aged 0 to 19 years, living in West Northamptonshire. We can offer two adult places per child. If you need two places please book as appropriate.

Our courses are not suitable for children to attend.

The workshop will be held on:

• Thursday 21 November 2024, 6 pm to 8 pm
• Thursday 28 November 2024, 6 pm to 8 pm

Kingsthorpe Children's Centre (Family Hub), St David's Road, Northampton NN2 7QJ

On-site parking is available.

What will the course include?

The Anxiety workshop will be held over two weekly sessions. The workshop is designed for parents/carers and will provide information about anxiety in children with ASD, how it might affect them and why (this can include some challenging behaviours).

The workshop aims to improve the confidence of parents/carers in recognising and managing their child's anxiety. We will help you to make an action plan, look at different strategies appropriate for your child and will look at ways that you can introduce these at home.

If you don’t live within this Local Authority you may find that some of the discussion around diagnosis pathways, SEND Support Service offers and referrals to external professionals is not relevant to you.
