A 90-minute workshop for those feeling called to become the change that makes the change.
About this Event

Join Sarah Lajeunesse, award-winning coach, leadership mentor, international speaker, & “shmealer” (shame healer) for a thought-provoking, heart-expanding, and entertaining workshop for women who feel called to share their gifts, make a difference, and contribute to a society that works for everyone.

After being in the coaching/mentorship space for the better part of a decade, Sarah has had the honour and privilege of working with business owners, entrepreneurs, creatives, social-justice activists, community advocates, teachers, healers, artists, and health & wellness practitioners to name a few.

After some time, she noticed a common theme emerge as it related to the internal barriers that blocked many brilliant, capable, and big-hearted women who felt called to make a positive contribution or to be in service to others (in however big or small way) from trusting themselves, their ideas, their visions, and ultimately giving themselves permission to simply get started.

For many, it was a common set of fears:

  • Fear of failure
  • Fear of inadequacy
  • Fear of what other people will think

And many of these fears were perpetuated by an underlying (and oftentimes unnecessary) root cause of shame (an inaccurate self-perception or sense of inadequacy) which contributed to one believing:

  • I’ll never measure up
  • I’ll never be good enough
  • I won’t be ready until....
  • Someone else is already doing it (or doing it better... i.e. why me?)
  • I should have started so much earlier
  • I should be so much further ahead

....so why even bother trying?

I’ll tell you why.

When we ignore or refuse to heed the call of our deepest yearnings, it can feel like we are betraying a part of ourselves, a part of our spirit, a part of our soul.

And self-betrayal can be one of the greatest sources of suffering, and it often only gets louder with time.

Self-betrayal can inevitably lead to one of the top regrets of the dying, which is, "I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me".

And even more, when we deprive ourselves from answering a yearning that lies deep within our being, we miss out on being able to share our gifts, ideas, excitement, creations, and greater self-expression with those around us, and ultimately, to demonstrate to others what's possible.

In this 90 minute workshop, we’ll explore:

  • Understanding the soul-enlivening “why” behind your deeper yearnings, and why it’s never been more important to answer the call (whether on the brink of a courageous life choice, birthing a new creative project, or making a positive contribution to humanity through your business, communities, or to those around you).

  • The 3 most common fears that hold women back from sharing their gifts/wisdom with the world (fear of failure, inadequacy, and opinions of others) and how to navigate them with greater self-compassion.

  • Thought-provoking, entertaining, and real-life stories that will support you through the highs and lows, ease you through the fears & doubts, and help grant you permission (from yourself) to get started or keep going.

  • Tangible action steps to move forward and a powerful exercise that will support you to begin (or continue) to contribute to the re-building of a society that works for everyone.
