ANOTHER SEASON with BRISBANE JAZZ ORCHESTRA celebrating 20 years!
Brisbane Jazz Orchestra (formerly Brisbane Contemporary Jazz Orchestra) is continuing to celebrate 20 years (equating to 80 seasons) together. Known for its “impressive dynamism and cohesion, musicianship and execution of exciting repertoire choices”, the Brisbane Jazz Orchestra once again looks forward to presenting fresh material as well as favourites from past years! Be captivated by Award-winning siren of song, Ingrid James, as she breathes new life into her bespoke repertoire, that is sure to stir your soul. Relive the magic of Gershwin, Michel Legrand, and Stan Kenton to Stevie Wonder, with infectious musical beats from the Swing and Cool eras, to the grooves and beats of Brazil and South America and more – all superbly led by BJO’s trombonist and musical director, Rob Anders.
