Yoga & Sound Healing

This immersive event combines the magical remedy of yoga and sound to release stress, ease anxiety, improve your mental health and emotional wellbeing.

Steph will guide you through an embodied practice of yoga, beginning with breathwork to regulate the nervous system, mindful movements flowing from yogic asanas to deep restorative stillness and meditation to enhance mind-body connection.

Steph weaves in wisdom from yogic philosophy and psychology, integrating eastern principles into our western living as she advocates for the healing powers of yoga and psychology for a calm mind, strong body and open heart.

The yoga practice will smoothly transition into the sound bath with Duygu, easing you into a deep state of relaxation, detaching from your external world to journey gently into your internal experience. Using rhythm and frequency, she'll shift brain waves into relaxed consciousness and deep meditation, guiding the mind and body to restore, replenish and reset.

With the approaching Wolf Moon, the first full Moon of 2024, the Yoga & Sound practice will open you up to receiving the Moon's energy into the physical and mental body, moving through the darker shadows of the unconscious, shedding the January Blues and soothing the soul.

About the practitioners

Dr. Stephanie Minchin, a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist, Yoga Therapist and Yoga Teacher with over 15 years of experience working in mental health, will be our leading practitioner for the debut evening of Anomalous Social Club: Care.

Steph has authored several articles, research papers and a book chapter; co-founded the MoreMind project with MoreYoga, and is founder of The Yoga Psychologist Ltd (1:1 therapies) and House of Yoga Psychology (integrating yoga and psychology for personal healing, professional development, training and education).

Duygu is a certified sound healing practitioner, employing a diverse range of instruments to create a rich and immersive experience. Utilizing crystal bawls, gongs, chimes, and her own voice, Duygu crafts a unique sonic landscape that enhances the depth of the sound healing journey.

Join us for an evening of profound relaxation and rejuvenation as Duygu skilfully combines these instruments, creating a harmonious blend that resonates with the therapeutic power of sound.
