The 11am Cathedral mass is open to the public. Healthcare Professionals are encouraged to wear their white coats. Reception/Lunch @12:30pm in the Great Hall- behind Cathedral, second floor. After serving as a principal and Of Counsel at the leading D.C. firm of Van Scoyoc Associates for many years, Mr. Trimble now leads the Religious Freedom Institute’s nationwide and international initiatives in secondary and higher education. Within that context, he brings a wealth of experience to the academy and civil society in international affairs, foreign policy, higher education, and shaping domestic and international public policy. CMA News Brief...Philadelphia, PA- September 15, 2022- Catholic Medical Association has wrapped up its 91st Annual Educational Conference. Held in Denver, Colorado, this year’s conference theme was “Searching for the Truth: Medicine, Morality, and the Media.”
The Association’s Annual Educational Conference addressed the highly timely topic of the importance that media plays in searching for the truth in the ethical practice of medicine,” said Greg Burke, M.D., Chair of this year’s conference.
“Guided by science, enlightened by a sound anthropology and inspired by divine revelation, the Catholic physician seeks to heal the body and spirit of all entrusted to their care by being grounded in their love of God and all creation,” added Dr. Burke, who also serves as Co-Chair of CMA’s Ethics Committee.
The conference keynote speaker was Rev. David Pivonka, TOR, President of Franciscan University of Steubenville. Attendees also heard from many other distinguished speakers including Michael Warsaw of EWTN.
