Bringing together archaeologists, researchers, and community historians, this event showcases the discoveries, stories, and ongoing research emerging from Potted History, the Barnstaple’s post-excavation project and related investigations across the region.
From medieval and seventeenth century pottery kilns and community excavations to legacy collections and new research into Devon and Cornwall pottery, the symposium offers a unique opportunity to hear directly from those actively working on the county’s rich archaeological heritage.
Whether you are an archaeology enthusiast, local historian, student, or simply curious about North Devon’s past, this symposium promises an engaging and insightful day celebrating the stories hidden beneath our feet.
