Annual MVHA 4th of July Parade & Picnic

The Annual 4th of July Parade & Picnic is back on July 4, 2026!
10:15am Assemble at intersection of Howard & East Lynwood
10:30am Parade begins proceeds to Landa Library.
11:00am Picnic at Landa that includes:
- Hot dogs from Bill Millers
- Watermelon, ice cream & lemonade courtesy of H-E-B
- Face painting & popcorn courtesy of Laurel Heights Methodist Church
- Performance by local Monte Vista band, Arachnophobia
- Star Spangled Banner by the SAC Glee Club
If you are participating in the Annual Pie Baking Contest, pies need to be dropped off by 9am at Landa Library.
We will have an Awards Ceremony and prizes about 11:15ish!
Awards Include:
Grand Fido
Best adult costume
Best child costume
Best non motorized float
Best decorated bike
Best Overall 4th Theme
