Join us Saturday October 1st at 8:30pm for our annual celebration of the time honored tradition, the liter hoist!The Liter Hoist or Masskrugstemmen is a Bavarian feat of strength and endurance where contestants hold a 1-liter stein of beer (which weighs about 5 pounds) out in front of them at shoulder level for as long as they can. No beer can be spilled, no elbows can be bent, and extended arms must be kept parallel to the ground. The winner is the person who can keep their stein aloft the longest.
Sign-ups begin at 8:30 pm with a bar wide hoist at 9pm. Both ladies and gents top times will receive a $50 Willard’s Gift Certificate!
So whether you’re a contender or not, come in and use this as an excuse to drink delicious German Marzen in giant steins, cheers raucously, and celebrate one of our favorite times of year.
