Join thousands of participants for one of Michigan's most beloved traditions, the Annual Labor Day Mackinac Bridge Walk.
Since 1958, walkers have gathered each Labor Day for the unique opportunity to experience the Mackinac Bridge on foot while enjoying spectacular views of the Straits of Mackinac. Whether you're continuing a family tradition or crossing for the first time, this iconic event offers an unforgettable way to celebrate Labor Day in Northern Michigan.
Participants may access the bridge from either end, with St. Ignace serving as a convenient starting point for those on the north side. No registration is required and participation is free.
St. Ignace: The starting location has been moved to Bridge View Park, located west of I-75, for improved safety and convenience.
Mackinaw City: Participants can start from the south end of the bridge.
Walkers will use the left-hand outside paved lane when starting from either side. Those turning back at the midpoint will return using the opposite side outside paved lane.
