Annual Holiday Luncheon with Mark Argetsinger: Manuals of Typography

The traditional printers’ manuals, from Moxon to De Vinne, inform Argetsinger’s (Godine, 2020). This talk is a tribute to that essential body of work, the corpus typographicum (so designated by Lawrence Wroth in his essay of 1935).

Mark Argetsinger, who has worked at Princeton University Press, Alfred A. Knopf, and Meriden-Stinehour Press, has been a freelance book designer since 1990.
