The 2026 Night Herpetology Hike is June 26th, 7 p.m.-10 p.m! As always, this event is sponsored by our friends at Southern Prohibition Brewery. Proceeds help support Central MS Turtle Rescue!
Come and enjoy a cold SoPro beer as you watch our students and staff wrangle reptiles and amphibians out of the lake. You will get to meet (at least) the following animals: barking tree frog, leopard frog, southern toad, gulf coast toad, lesser siren, central newt, spotted salamander, two-toed amphiuma, speckled kingsnake, mud turtle, and common snapping turtle.
Light snacks will be served as well as an assortment of non-alcoholic drinks for designated drivers.
Admission is $15 CASH paid at event. Must be 21 or older to attend.
