Presented by Providence Health Care, this conference offers a unique platform to delve into the intricacies of ethical decision-making in healthcare.Attendees will have opportunties to revisit various health care decisions and interesting ethical cases with the benefit of hindsight. This retrospective approach will enable participant to thoroughly explore the ethical dimensions of their decisions, dissect the guiding principles, and unearth the hidden opportunities that each real case presents.
What sets this conference apart is its practicality – the cases discussed are relatable, making them applicable not only to health care professionals and staff, but also to people interested in a career in health care (clinical) ethics or health care, and community members who are interested in health care ethics.
Cases discussed will come from a diverse range of health care settings, and will include a wide range of patient/client populations. This diversity will enrich the ethical discourse, foster contemplation, and encourage attendees to engage with cases that might not be part of their regular practice.
