Annual Halloween Walk
Saturday, October 24, 2026
Starting at 3 p.m.
THIS WILL BE OUR 37th YEAR OF HOLDING THIS EVENT
FUN FOR ALL AGES –INFANTS TO 102 (anyone over 100 must be in costume).
This is a community wide family event so put on your costume and join in the fun. If you choose not to walk,
please come join us anywhere along the route and help cheer our little ghosts and goblins as they march to
the music. Since this is a “walk” please leave the skateboards, scooters, bikes and dogs at home. Strollers,
prams, carriages, wheelchairs, wagons, etc. are fine. This is for the safety and enjoyment for all.
Beginning at the medical complex on Whitechapel Drive—Left from Whitechapel to Cambria Street-Right on
to Abbey Drive and continuing onto Severn Drive following the music to Pembroke Blvd and on to the park.
Single serve drinks and snacks will be handed out at the park.
Refreshments will be served at the park.
Neighbors along the route toss candy into the street so bring a bag to collect your treasures.
If you live along the route, we kindly ask that you park your cars off the streets for the event.
Rest rooms will be open at the pool for the event. Trash cans are available for all trash.
WE NEED PARADE ROUTE VOLUNTEERS! In order to keep the kids safe from the cars, we need Traffic guards
for the 8 locations listed on the map below. If you typically stand at a corner to watch the parade, please
consider helping us stop any cars trying to get though. We’ll even provide a beautiful yellow/orange vest
Contact: Elizabeth Matulenas [email protected] 757-715-5100 to volunteer or with any questions.
