The 2024 All-1970s event (GWHS alums of any year welcome) will be at Kennedy Park, 19501 Hesperian Blvd. in Hayward, at Pine Forest picnic area #1, immediately inside the southwest entrance (north of the train tunnel). By popular demand, the potluck is back! Bring a small dish to share, and clean up at the end. Text Potluck Chair Madelyn McMillan at 415-297-6042 to tell her what you’re bringing. We’ll also have raffles for gifts and a 50/50 cash raffle.
Per Hayward Park & Rec, only service dogs with valid documentation are permitted (California Disabled Persons Act). The committee HAS posted "no dogs" in the last few Events.
The committee chose Kennedy Park, site of our 2007 and 2009 picnics, due to classmates’ issues with weather and parking in SF. Hayward weather may be nicer, plus there's ample free parking close to our spot. There’s a large lawn across from the picnic tables so bring chairs and blankets. The park has kids’ rides from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm; tickets at $3 each are available at the concession stand.
Taking BART? From Daly City/SF take the Berryessa train (Green line) to Hayward, then take AC Transit Line 93 to Hesperian & Bartlett.
