The Flower Communion, sometimes referred to as a Flower Ceremony or Festival, is an annual ritual that celebrates beauty, human uniqueness, diversity, and sharing in community. The first Flower Ceremony was held in Prague, in June 1923, created and led by Rev. Norbert Čapek. For decades, this beloved tradition and its powerful history have provided meaning to UU congregations. Please bring flowers to share in this Service for All Ages.
We will also be saying “goodbye” to the Rev. Patrick. This is Rev. Price’s last Sunday service with UUCQC ending his two years as our interim/transitions minister. A Farewell Celebration for him will be held after service.
