Annual Fall Feast

Tekanónhkwa Land-Based Learning and Restoration Fall Feast & Planting
The Tekanónhkwa Land-Based Learning and Restoration Team, Wisahkotewinowak and the City of Kitchener invite you to our annual Fall Feast and planting, celebrating the gardening season, the Fall harvest, and the community’s continued work on Tekanónhkwa.
Join us on the land for an afternoon of workshops, planting, connection, and learning, followed by a community feast and closing celebration!
We are grateful to have Chef Tawnya Brant prepare and serve the feast, and to have The Greasy Muskrats on Big Drum
Schedule:
12:30–4:00 PM — Workshops & Planting on the Land
4:00–5:00 PM — Walk of the Land
5:00–7:00 PM — Feast & Closing Remarks
Location & Parking
Parking is available at the top of the hill at 300 Lookout Lane, Kitchener, at Pioneer Tower. Workshops and the feast will take place at the bottom of the hill.
Please bring your feast bundles (plate and cutlery) Anyone participating in the workshops is encouraged to bring gloves, boots, water, snacks, and bug spray
You are welcome to join us at any point throughout the day, and we hope to see you on the land!
Accessibility: We have a UTV available for the walk and can arrange a separate land tour for those with mobility concerns.
Dietary restrictions: When ordering tickets, please let us know about any dietary restrictions or food allergies, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
