Annual Chinese food for Christmas (vegan) family style dinner.

in Mid October, thanks to a very generous present from a student/friend, i am making my first trip to China. I will spend a week in Beijing where i have a solo concert at the center for experimental music in Beijing before i head to perform at a festival in Hanoi and then an artist in residency in Chiang Mai, followed by a lot of Concerts in several cities in Thailand.

While in Beijing will spend one or 2 afternoons with a Chinese vegan chef and i will base this menu on some of what i will be learning as well as some of the classic Chinese dishes i have been serving for 2 decades.

The Chinese food for Christmas tradition started in the Jewish community in New York city and has spread around the world to Muslim, Hindu, Jain, Buddhist and many other communities.
