The 38th annual Friends of Granby Public Library (FOGPL) book sale event will be held Friday through Sunday, September 24th – 26th at Holcomb Farm, 113 Simsbury Road in West Granby.Thanks to all our donors that have kept our wonderful volunteers busy throughout the summer collecting, inspecting, and sorting books for the big sale. A lot of time and effort goes into putting this event together and is by far its biggest fundraiser. Proceeds from the book sale help support the Granby Public Library with programs, museum passes, books, DVD’s, and special events.
Whether you’re a bargain hunter, book worm, or just like to see what treasure you may find, there is something for everyone. Besides all categories of both hardcover and softcover books, there are coffee table, vintage, first editions, and autographed books, CD’s, DVD’s, records, puzzles, games, learning toys, and other book related items for purchase.
The sale starts on Friday, Sept. 24 from 5-8pm. An entry fee of $5 gives Friday evening shoppers the first peek and best selection of the sale. Saturday, hours are 9am to 3pm and Sunday hours are 11am to 2:30pm. On Sunday, there are no set prices, reasonable donations are accepted for however many items you would like to stock up on.
Federal, state or town health guidelines about the current status of the pandemic may impact the status of the Used Book Sale. Our foremost goal is to keep our staff, volunteers, and patrons safe, and we will continue to adapt our policies in line with the latest guidance as the sale approaches
