Welcome to the Annual Black Flag Domestic Violence Self-Defense Workshop!

Come join us at 1113 Recreation Dr for a day of empowerment and learning how to protect yourself. The Annual Domestic Violence Self-Defense Workshop, hosted by Black Flag Training Group, in partnership with the City of Columbia Police Department, is a free, community-centered event designed to educate, empower, and equip individuals—especially women—with practical self-defense skills to prevent and respond to acts of domestic violence. Now in its 9th year, this impactful workshop brings together certified instructors, survivors, advocates, and community members for hands-on training, awareness education, and personal empowerment.

Participants will learn:

• Situational awareness and threat recognition
• Physical self-defense strategies tailored for real-world encounters
• Legal considerations and local support resources

This event fosters a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where attendees gain confidence, strength, and solidarity in standing against abuse.
