On Sunday, October 5, 2025 the American Legion Auxiliary Hurst-Euless-Bedford Unit 379, will be hosting our legendary Annual Cancer Research Pancake Breakfast. All proceeds from this event will provide Cancer Research Scholarships for the M D Anderson Hospital Research Complex in Houston TX.
The American Legion Auxiliary Department of Texas started the scholarship campaign in 1950, as the State President’s Special Project. It has since become a standing project for the Department of Texas. Through fund raisers of bake sales, silent auctions, dinners, grab bags and dances, to date we have reached $1.8 million in donations to provide scholarships to high-achieving doctoral students.
This research is priceless. As with all catastrophic diseases that show no bounds for age, gender, race or income your donation is invaluable to helping find the cures. We are looking forward with the help of our families, friends and communities to generating more research scholarships.
