Join us on Friday, August 14, in Remington to celebrate the newly released chapbook Jewel Box, by Baltimore poet Annie Powell Stone! Annie will be in conversation with fellow Baltimore poet Claire Taylor.
Annie will read from Jewel Box as well as her previous chapbook Hampden Wildlife: Reflections on the Nature of a Baltimore City Neighborhood. Claire Taylor will read from her poetry collection April and Back Again. All books will be available for purchase at the event!
Annie Powell Stone (she/her) is a fan of peanut butter toast. She uses poetry as ballast while navigating life. Her poetry has been nominated for The Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net. Her newest chapbook, Jewel Box, is forthcoming from dancing girl press & studio, Summer 2026; her chapbook Hampden Wildlife: Reflections on the Nature of a Baltimore City Neighborhood was published by Bottlecap Press, Summer 2023. Claire Taylor is the author of the poetry collection, April and Back Again, and multiple chapbooks, including Mother Nature and One Good Thing. She is the founding editor of Little Thoughts Press, a literary magazine for young readers.
