ANNI MCCANN & ELENA RAYO have led the ever-evolving Dolli Mamas since 2024. Their lush harmonies, heartfelt originals, and engaging stage presence shine in this intimate acoustic duo performance.
PAUL EMERY & PETER WILSON have been making music together since the 1980s, including a 20-year run as The Fun Train Minstrels aboard the Reno Fun Train. Their blend of folk, blues, country, and honky-tonk is sure to keep you smiling and toe-tapping all evening.
Anni McCann is a long time Nevada City based vocalist and multi-instrumentalist celebrated for her musical versatility, range and expressive power. Earning a Bachelor of Music degree, she trained in opera, musical theatre, piano and vocal arranging, and began her professional career at age 12 singing for weddings with her guitar. She later toured the West coast and Europe for well over a decade with the folk-jazz trio, Backwoods Jazz, releasing 4 albums. She recorded and performed with Supertramp's Roger Hodgson, has played major international festivals and performed for the Queen of England. For 12 years running, Anni was a featured vocalist in "A Thousand Kisses Deep", a Leonard Cohen tribute show, captivating audiences with her moving rendition of Hallelujah. She is currently co-founder of The Dolli Mamas, a harmony-driven acoustic female trio, and keyboardist for Souvenirs, a Dan Fogelberg tribute band. In the last year she debuted her leading role in "The Botanist", a plant-based musical written and composed by Ameera and Paul Godwin, and produced "The 70s Songbook" show, performing to a sell-out crowd at the Nevada Theater. Her solo albums, This Moment and Open Page, showcase her lyrical and musical depth and her presence is a vital force in the Sierra Foothill community.
Elena Ray is a seasoned musician and songwriter, equally skilled on violin and guitar. With six albums to her name and performances spanning across the globe, Elena is a master of her craft. Her recent tribute to Joni Mitchell showcases her depth and versatility as an artist, and she is currently recording a new album of original songs based around her new single "Girl, You're More Than Your Eyebrows." Elena's academic background includes degrees in Classical Languages from UC Berkeley, Cambridge University and UCLA. She is also the owner of Ancient Wave Studios in Nevada City where she continues to inspire others to also create music.
Paul Emery is the creator of the Leonard Cohen review 1000 Kisses Deep, a founding member of Backwoods Jazz and the Greater Carmichael Street Band, and a longstanding member of the Fun Train Minstrals duo. Emery is well know for his decades of work as community radio KVMR's news director. His production company PaulEmeryMusic produces the Nevada City LIVE! concert series at the historic Nevada Theatre.
Singer/songwriter/guitarist Peter Wilson a member of the Deadbeats. He’s a founding member of 1000 Kisses Deep. Along with his songwriting cohorts, Mountain John Hilligoss and Moe Dixon, they’ve written scores of songs, toured and released a studio CD. At home in Grass Valley, California Wilson has hosted radio variety shows and open mic. nights.
