Annaliesa Rose & the Buds

Annaliesa Rose is a versatile musician (vocalist and composer) who has been involved in music and the performing arts for her whole life. After learning initially from her mother, Marjorie Shepheard, Annaliesa went on to learn from the late Kerrie Biddell, one of Australia’s most acclaimed jazz singers, before studying her Bachelor of Music (jazz) degree at ANU in Canberra. Since then, Annaliesa has performed at many venues and festivals around Australia. More recently she has had the opportunity to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2024 and in Edinburgh and the Czech Republic in 2024 and 2025. Annaliesa will be returning to Europe for a mini tour in September 2026 for her album launch.
The new album “Home Is Where the Heart Is” is Annaliesa Rose’s second release and her first internationally recorded album. The album was recorded at the Czech Television Music Studio in Prague in 2025 and features internationally renowned musicians from the Czech Republic.
“Home is Where the Heart is” will be available for purchase and streaming from Friday 4th September 2026.
Annaliesa Rose's debut album, “Is That Jazz?”, was recorded in Bondi, Sydney and was released in 2021. “Is that Jazz?” is available for purchase and streaming on Bandcamp and all streaming services.
Annaliesa Rose also performed at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games opening and closing ceremonies as part of the Millennium Marching Band.
Annaliesa Rose & the Buds features her fabulous musicians Daryl Wallis on keyboards, John Burgess on bass and Stephen Richards on drums. Together they will take you on a journey featuring tracks from her new and debut albums, with an exciting mix of swing, bossa nova and modern jazz.
