This 3-day workshop will focus on specific ways to light, pose, and capture your model's unique personality and expression. If you've ever struggled with drawing or painting from life, and your results were less than lifelike, Anna can help walk you through some ways to bring that "spark" back into your work. We will talk specifically about form and gesture, as well as edges and design, to create portraits that feel engaging and alive. Each morning the instructor will demo from the model and explain her process, and students will work in the afternoon, with the option on day 3 to work both in the morning and afternoon for a more finished painting.
