ANNA KATARINA

Anna Katarina, named one of Canada's 8 hottest emerging artists by Exclaim! Magazine, is a singer-songwriter known for her authentic voice, candid lyrics, and genre-blending compositions, raised in the mountains of British Columbia and Appalachian North Carolina. Her music draws inspiration from artists like Joni Mitchell and Sheryl Crow. Yet, she crafts a unique path within Indie-Pop/Rock and Americana, driven by the emotions behind her songs.

In early 2024, Anna was an Official Showcase Artist at Ireland's "Your Roots Are Showing" Folk Conference, performed at Mexico's Sand & Strings Festival, and accomplished a 3-week tour through Central Europe. She is currently recording her sophomore record, While I Was Dreaming, with support from Creative BC and the Canada Council for the Arts.

In 2023, she shared the stage at sold-out shows with established Canadian artists Shawn Hook and Said The Whale.

Katarina is an alumnus of Selkirk College and Berklee College of Music, and one half of the Indie-folk duo Rumour Mill.
