About this Event
Join us in Indianapolis for conversations and sessions about Grappling with Power. For the past several years, the not-for-profit sector and the capacity-building community have been grappling with power. Our 2024 conference is an opportunity to invite our sector and community into deeper conversation about what this means for us in the 21st century.
We selected Indianapolis because that community is grappling with issues many of our own communities are trying to understand and effect: attacks on queer and trans communities, attacks on reproductive freedom, the fight for Black liberation and Indigenous sovereignty, and so many other issues of self determination and liberation. The people and organizations on the ground are doing the work of equity and justice, and we want to learn from them.
Grappling with Power is an opportunity to continue our reckoning with how we use and share power in the not-for-profit sector, and how power shows up in our organizations, on our teams, and with our clients. Our national conference truly reflects the values of inclusion, diversity, community and environmental stewardship, with an intention to disrupt the status-quo and help nonprofit capacity builders forge new, more inclusive pathways to ever-better ways of being and knowing.
Grappling with Power’s top-quality content is intended to enhance the work of virtually any nonprofit capacity builder, including consultants, coaches, capacity-building organizations, organizations that support nonprofits, foundations and funders, academics, researchers and graduate students.
