About this Event
🪷 Ankura is a generative space where dancers and musicians rooted in or curious about Indian classical forms come together to explore through guided improvisation and create in real time.
This edition of Ankura is presented in collaboration with Nova Dance’s Deep End Week and will feature guided offerings from choreographer Nova Bhattacharya, inviting participants into a unique process of collective discovery and creation.
🪷 Ankura is cozy, self-funded, and intentionally low/no tech. If your instrument needs a little boost, feel free to bring your own gear — we want you to feel right at home.
🗓️ August 21, 2025 🕖 5:30PM – 8:30PM 📍 The Theatre Centre (1115 Queen St W, Toronto)
Let’s see what can grow when we begin together.
🪷 Cash can also be paid at the door. E-transfers can be made to [email protected].
