Akiko Grabein Quartet
グラバイン晃子（ボーカル）：
広島県福山市出身、ベルリン在住のジャズ＆トルコ音楽ボーカリスト。
プロの英独日翻訳家・通訳者でもある。
2007年から音楽活動を開始し、2014年に単身渡独、Judy Niemack教授に師事して即興（スキャット）を学ぶ。
2017年よりベルリンで最も有名なトルコ音楽バーラマ奏者兼歌手の一人であるAdil Arslan氏にその歌唱力を認められ、彼に師事しトルコ音楽を学ぶ。
以後はジャズにトルコ音楽の要素をプラスしたり、トルコ音楽にジャズの即興を取り入れたりする非常に珍しい形式でトルコ音楽ボーカルとしても活動。
ジェームス・クラッチフィールド（ギター）：
米国テキサス州エルパソ生まれ。
10代の頃、フランク・ザッパ、レッド・ツェップリン、ジミ・ヘンドリックスといったアーティストからロック音楽への情熱を見いだし、彼らは今でも彼に大きな影響を与えている。その後まもなくジャズに興味を持ち、特にジョン・コルトレーンやセロニアス・モンクといったアーティストに最大のインスピレーションを受ける。
2009年にニューヨークに短期滞在し、2010年にはヴュルツブルクでジャズ・ギターを学び始め、ジョン・シュレーダー、ラーゲ・ルンド、ボビー・ブルーム、ジェシー・ヴァン・ルーラーといったアーティストからもレッスンを受けた。
2014年にベルリンに移り住んで以来、同地やドイツ、イタリアの他の都市で、完全に自由な即興演奏、ジャズ・スタンダード、自作曲などでジャズ・シーンに欠かせない存在となっている。
斎藤 航（コントラバス、エレキベース、作曲）：
19歳から独学でコントラバスを始める。大学でドイツ文学を学ぶ傍ら、日本各地のジャズクラブ、フェスティバル、ホテル、レストランなどで演奏。
日本の大学を卒業後、2017年よりベルリンにてジャズ、バルカン、ワールドミュージック、フリーインプロヴィゼーションのミュージシャンとして活動。現在はドイツだけでなく、オランダ、デンマーク、スウェーデン、フランス、ポーランドでも演奏活動を行っている。
中島伸一（ドラム）：
神戸大学在学中にビッグバンドに所属し、ジャズドラムを始める。大阪および東京にてジャズドラムを学んだのち、東京を拠点としてジャズクラブや音楽フェスティバルなどで演奏活動を始める。２０１４年にベルリンに拠点を移し、主にジャズ、ファンク、ラテン音楽の演奏活動を続ける。現在、Sanraboshi (Jazz)、Juanita & Friends (Latin)、Cinco Gatos (Jazz)に所属する他、セッション等で音楽活動を行っている。

15年以上、世界中を旅しながら自身の音楽活動、アート活動の幅を拡げ続けている。
クラシックの技術、高校時代からのJazzの世界での修行から
何にでも対応する柔軟なインプロヴィゼーションスキルを武器に、
現在はベルリンを拠点にミュージシャン、アーティストとして活動。
音楽はバイオリン、オーボエ、ボーカル、ビートボックス、作曲、アレンジも手がけ、
そのほか絵を描いたり、グラフィックデザイナーとしても活動している。
バイオリニストとして稀有な、圧倒的なリズム感とセンス、洗練された技術、
類稀なるマルチな才能をありとあらゆる興味の対象に余すことなく注ぎ続け、
揺らぐことなく常に今の一瞬を迷わず生きる姿は
パフォーマンスを見た人の心を軽々と掴む。
長年の旅の中で、彼女自身の足で踏んだ土地の空気、
彼女が触れあってきた人々の日々のかけらを糧に独自に創りあげられ、
０から織りなされる音はその瞬間に在る全てのものを味方にして構築されていく。
いつでも次の瞬間何が起こるかわからない不安定さをいつでも全力で楽しみながら
進化の歩を止めない彼女の活躍に世界中が注目している

Akiko Grabein (vocal), is Jazz / Bossa Nova / Turkish folks & classical music singer and a professional English / German / Japanese translator & interpreter.
Born in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima prefecture, currently living in Berlin.
Started her musical career in 2007, learning Jazz from Hiroyuki Yamamoto, Jazz pianist.
Moved to Berlin in 2017 to learn improvisation from professor, Judy Niemack.
In 2017, her talent was recognized by Adil Arslan, one of the most famous Turkish musicians in Berlin, who taught her Turkish music.
Since then, she started performing her unique “Turkish folks & classical music” plus “Jazz” mashup style.
James Crutchfield (guitar) was born in El Paso, Texas USA.
As a teenager, he discovered his passion for rock music from artists such as Frank Zappa, Led Zepplin and Jimi Hendrix, who still have a great influence on him. Interest in Jazz followed shortly afterwards and became his greatest inspiration, especially artists like John Coltrane and Thelonius Monk.
In 2009 he stayed shortly in New York, then in 2010 he started to study jazz guitar in Würzburg, also taking lessons from artists such as John Schröder, Lage Lund, Bobby Broom, and Jesse van Ruller.
In 2014, he moved to Berlin and has been an integral part of the jazz scene there, in other cities in Germany and Italy ever since, with completely freely improvised music, jazz standards or his own compositions.
Wataru Saito (double bass, electric bass & composition) was born in Japan, started playing the double bass at the age of 19 and taught himself. While studying German literature at university, he played in jazz clubs, festivals, hotels and restaurants all over Japan.
After graduating from university in Japan, he has been working as a musician for jazz, Balkan, world music and free improvisation in Berlin since 2017. Currently he plays not only in Germany, but also in Holland, Denmark, Sweden, France and Poland.
Shinichi Nakajima (drums) started playing jazz in a big band when he was a university student in physics. After the graduation, he learned music in Osaka and Tokyo, and started playing drums at Jazz clubs and music festivals in Tokyo and other cities in Japan. Since 2014, he moved to Berlin and continued his music career, mainly in Jazz, funk, and Latin music. Currently he regularly plays in Sanra-boshi (Jazz), Juanita Laló & Friends (Latin), Cinco Gatos (Jazz), and other bands and sessions in Berlin and other cities.
