Animated Womxn (18+)

Celebrating extraordinary and award-winning female and non-binary animators from around the globe, MANIPULATE is delighted to present Animated Womxn for the third year running. The programme features a rich palette of techniques, ideas, textures and styles and includes some of the most decorated shorts in this year’s festival season.

This programming strand was initiated in 2020 and champions the work of women (cisgender, transgender, non-binary, genderqueer or intersex) with the aim of improving visibility for women in the film sector and addressing the current gender imbalance in animated film.

Full line-up announced in mid-December.

These films contain strong language and violent scenes. Puppet Animation Scotland has rated the screening as suitable for ages 18+.

This event will be followed by a networking event with coffee and cake, taking place in the Fruitmarket Warehouse between 2.30-3.30pm.
