About this Event

Come join a hands-on workshop that will lead you through the basics of abstract animation by way of creating your very own hanging wind mobile. Using colored-acrylic sheets and adhesive vinyl, participants will learn strategies for how to plan and apply animated loops of shape and color to create complex movements that radiate in the sunlight. Materials, including cutting impliments, string, and adhesives, will be provided. Space limited to 12.

MATT REYNOLDS is an artist, animator, and educator working in San Francisco. His short films have screened at such festivals as Annecy, SXSW, and AFI Fest. Consistent across his work in animation, sculpture, and graphic arts is a playful fascination with corporeality, techno-skepticism, and the fantastical. He currently splits his time between freelance animation projects and teaching media art to high schoolers around the Bay Area .
