Admission and activities are completely FREE. Funds are raised through sponsorships, raffle and silent-auction proceeds, and voluntary donations.
💜 WHY ANIMALS FOR ALZHEIMER’S?
More than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease, and more than 12 million family members and friends provide care for people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
Animals for Alzheimer’s was created to bring our community together to raise funds and awareness while also highlighting the positive influence animals can have on people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
Animals can provide companionship and emotional support, encourage cognitive stimulation, and have a calming effect that may help with anxiety, agitation, and behavioral regulation.
We wanted to share that connection with our community in a way that is fun, positive, meaningful, and accessible to the whole family.
