S velkou lítostí oznamujeme, že nadcházející koncert Animal Collective a Mariny Herlop, který se měl uskutečnit 17. listopadu v MeetFactory, se stejně jako celé evropské turné kapely ruší. K rozhodnutí dospěli sami členové Animal Collective. Stojí za ním nepříznivá ekonomická situace a nejisté finanční vyhlídky. Všichni držitelé vstupenek budou automaticky refundováni. The decision has been made by the members of Animal Collective themselves. The current adverse economic situation and uncertain financial prospects are behind the decision. All ticket holders will be refunded automatically.

Dlouhých 11 let. Tak dlouho jsme čekali na návrat králů psychedelického popu Animal Collective do MeetFactory. Teprve jejich třetí pražský koncert jistě potěší nejen ty, kteří v nultých letech hltali desky tak rychle, jak je Avey Tare, Panda Bear, Geologist a Deakin stačili nahrávat. Vše vyvrcholilo albem Merriweather Post Pavilion, které v roce 2009 trhalo žebříčky nejlepších i nejprodávanějších desek. Poté se kapela na čas zklidnila i uklidila, další desky přibývaly méně překotně, poslední Painting With vyšla před 6 lety.
Na letošní rok ohlásila baltimorská čtyřka návrat s novou deskou Time Skiffs, kterou label Domino přirovnává k přelomové Strawberry Jam. Už z prvních singlů, pilotního Prestor John nebo nejčerstvějšího Strung With Everything (který vychází právě teď!), a jejich pestrobarevných zvukových krajin, třpytivých melodií a sofistikovaných rytmů je zřejmé, že Animal Collective se vrací v plné síle. Jejich magický karneval přitančí do MeetFactory příhodně na výročí svobody, 17. listopadu 2022. Předprodej spouštíme v pátek v 11:00.

11 long years. We have been waiting for so long for the kings of psychedelic pop — Animal Collective — to return to MeetFactory. Their third Prague show will surely please not only those who were devouring their records in the 00s as swiftly as Avey Tare, Panda Bear, Geologist and Deakin were recording them. It all culminated on Merriweather Post Pavilion, which topped the charts of the best (and the best-selling) records of 2009. After that, the band slowed down a bit, releasing their last album, Painting With, 6 years ago.
The Baltimore psych-pop quartet is announcing their comeback this year with Time Skiffs, their newest LP which the Domino label likens to the groundbreaking Strawberry Jam. The magical carnival of Animal Collective returns to MeetFactory on the symbolic date of November 17, 2022.
