We will gather with all ages and all species for our Animal Blessing on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 1pm on our Front Lawn (Peierls Room for inclement weather).
With joy, song and ritual we will bless our pets, and our dear stuffed animals.
This service draws from the inspiration of St. Francis of Assisi. In this Unitarian Universalist version we will take a moment to grieve the animals that have died, share our gratitude for the animals that make our lives better, bless the animals that make their home among us, and commit to treating our animals like partners not things.
Donations will be accepted for the Montclair Animal Shelter. Please bring unopened bags or cans of food for dogs or cats.
