Post-punk, dub a elektronické experimenty: Anika se v březnu vrací do Prahy s novou, radikálně přímočarou deskou Abyss, která rozjímá nad naléhavou potřebou spojení v časech izolace a lidského odcizení ★Mnohostranná umělkyně, vokalistka a žurnalistka Anika aka Annika Henderson si publikum ve světě alternativní elektroniky získala svými originálními zvukovými kolážemi, konfrontačními texty a osobitými live shows. S čerstvou deskou Abyss, na níž mísí dub a post-punk s analogovou elektronikou, na jaře zamíří do smíchovské MeetFactory.
Anika jako bývalá novinářka vnáší hloubku a nadhled do své hudební tvorby, která osciluje mezi rebelií a uvolněním. „The world might be going to shit, but that’s why we need to meet in real life, vent, dance the pain away, play music, listen to music, laugh, cry, build bridges, come together...“ Tento étos prostupuje její tvorbou, v níž se střetávají zvuk, poezie a aktivismus. Přijímá nedokonalosti, chyby vědomě staví do popředí a boří konvenční systémy a struktury. V hudební krajině posedlé technologií působí její přímočarost radikálně. Album Abyss není o honbě za novotou; je o přítomnosti a naléhavé potřebě lidského spojení.

Multifaceted hybrid artist, vocalist, and journalist Anika aka Annika Henderson made a name for herself in the avant-garde electronic scene with her experimental sound collages, confrontational lyrics, and singular live shows. With her new album Abyss, which blends dub and post-punk with electronic experiments, Anika is coming to Prague this coming spring.
Formerly a journalist, Anika brings a sharp, observational depth to her music, which oscillates between rebellion and release. “The world might be going to shit, but that’s why we need to meet in real life, vent, dance the pain away, play music, listen to music, laugh, cry, build bridges, come together...“ This ethos pulses through her work, where sound, poetry, and activism collide.
