Anger & Emotions workshop

This two session workshop is for parents and carers of children aged 0 to 19 years, living in West Northamptonshire. We can offer two adult places per child. If you need two places please book as appropriate.

Our courses are not suitable for children to attend.

The workshop will be held on:

• Thursday 07 November 2024, 6 pm to 8 pm
• Thursday 14 November 2024, 6 pm to 8 pm

What will the course include?

The Anger & Emotions Workshop is a course run over two weeks. The workshop is designed for parents/carers and the sessions will include details on emotional scaling, the life cycle of a "meltdown" and how to effectively track behaviours.

It will cover how best to evaluate behaviours, how to teach relaxation techniques and how to teach your child to understand what anger is and other different emotions. It will also cover how to communicate emotions and empower families to create an individual plan for the child or young person they are supporting.

Please note: This workshop is written and hosted by SEND Support Service in West Northamptonshire. If you don’t live within this Local Authority you may find that some of the discussion around diagnosis pathways, SEND Support Service offers and referrals to external professionals is not relevant to you.
